A sump is a hole in the basement floor with a pump in it. It draws and discharges away from the water from the sump in case it is too high and streams it out 10 or more feet from the foundation. The installation of sump requires following expertise from the installer:
- Jack hitting
- Digging a hole in basement’s concrete floor
- Mining a hole
- Insertion a liner in the hole
- Wiring the pump
